At Tabard Street Market, Pinoy Eat is serving Filipino food that feels simple, satisfying, and full of heart. Run by Nino, alongside his wife Helen and their son Paul, the stall brings together family, flavour and everyday comfort in a way that feels deeply personal.


Pinoy Eat began after Nino left his long career as a chef in hotels and restaurants to build something of his own. For the family, it was not just a business decision but a lifestyle change too. Running their own stall meant creating something together, while spending more time with each other than traditional restaurant work allowed.


Their menu centres on silog-style meals, served with rice, egg and pickled vegetables. One of their standout dishes is Beef Tapa, described on the menu as salty, sweet, garlicky and rich with soy flavour. There is also Chicken Tapa and Tofu Tapa as a vegan option. Alongside these are Chicken Inasal, with lemongrass and lime, plus BBQ prawns, beef and chicken with a sweet, sour and slightly spicy banana ketchup flavour. Their bases include boiled white rice, garlic fried rice or pancit noodles.

What stands out is how grounded the food feels. These are not overcomplicated plates. They are generous, flavour-packed dishes that speak to everyday Filipino eating and the warmth of a family-run stall. Helen shared that while they make small adjustments for the London market, keeping the flavours authentic still matters deeply to them.


For now, Pinoy Eat is a lovely place to stop for a proper Filipino lunch in London, whether you already know silog or are trying it for the first time.
