片語成章 The Shape of Becoming, A Story in FormationA Collective Archive of the Memories and Struggles of HongKongers since the 1970s

History is not only written by those in power—

but carried in our bodies, objects, fragments, and memories.

The Shape of Becoming is presented by Hong Kong Cultural Community,

in collaboration with human rights organisation The Rights Practice,

the Hong Kong Social Movement Oral History Project,

and the Hong Kong Action Archives (HKAA).

Our exhibition gathers 20 oral histories across generations—

medics, organisers, artists, parents, exiles, elders and youth—

who have shaped and witnessed decades of social movement in Hong Kong.

Alongside stories are protest artefacts, soundscapes, photographs, printed materials,

and an interactive installation where visitors can record and share their own memories.

This is a living archive—

a space for memory, resistance, and shared imagination.

Learn how to turn memories into history — featuring a book on oral history of family stories, factory tales, and vanishing neighbourhoods.

🎬 《風景 Pseudo Secular》 Screening & Discussion

A hybrid documentary-drama tracing intersecting stories of protest, displacement, and longing in Hong Kong.

紀錄與劇情融合的長片，刻劃抗爭、離散與城市中交錯的人生軌跡。

💃 Closing Performance: 《咿嚶之聲 Whispers from the Sea》

A multimedia dance performance reimagining Hong Kong’s coastal myths and forgotten voices in diaspora.

揉合舞蹈、民謠與故事，重構香港沿岸的邊緣傳說與歷史幽聲。
