Tara! 🌞 This September, step inside a Filipino-British home and uncover generations of untold stories.

SALO SALO: Come Together takes over Oxo Tower Gallery (@oxotowerwharf) in London this month with an immersive exhibition that brings together the voices, memories, and everyday experiences of one of the UK’s largest, yet least represented communities.

Presented by @VoiceESEA, in collaboration with some incredible Filipino voices, creatives, chefs, and talent. Seven themes run through the exhibition, spanning oral history archive interviews, photography, illustration, archival material, textiles, and immersive sensory installations about migration, labour, language, food culture, performance, family life and belonging.

About the exhibition: Salo-salo is a Filipino tradition of gathering, sharing food, stories, and community. For this third ECHO history exhibition, Voice ESEA explores the British home through a Filipino lens, celebrating the generations of Filipinos who have built lives, families and communities across Britain — tracing stories of migration, resilience, care, culture and home, from Liverpool’s Little Manila in the 1800s to today’s thriving Filipino communities across the UK.
