About the event
Songs for Sumatra is a London-based charity concert bringing together music, storytelling, and community in response to the devastating floods affecting communities across Sumatra, Indonesia. Through a powerful live performance and targeted fundraising campaign, the event aims to mobilise both the Indonesian diaspora and the wider UK public — transforming cultural engagement into tangible humanitarian impact.
A cultural celebration bringing together West End performers Desmonda Cathabel, El Haq Latief, and Jaz Triadi, R&B artist Mychelle and singer songwriters Ledi and Gabriela Fernandez, along with Indonesian movement artists including Anastasia Widyadari as well as Indonesian food & beverages from Bija, Toba, and Pino's Warung.
All net ticket proceeds and donations will go directly to Human Aid Initiative, a global humanitarian organisation that is currently providing aid for victims of the floods. You can also donate directly via our JustGiving page.
