Queers Across the Waves Film Showcase

We are excited to announce the first public screening of 10 short films  made by 10 new Chinese LGBTQ+ filmmakers, born out of the “Queers Across the Waves: Chinese Queer Filmmaking Talent Development Programme”.  Over a period of three months from March to May 2024, and through a  series of filmmaking workshops, participants have learned, shared,  practiced and developed films together in a safe and dynamic space. Each  participant has successfully completed at least one short film. These  films cover topics such as queer diaspora, gender expression, love,  coming out, neurodiversity, transgender rights, Taiwanese identity,  (post) feminism and body anxiety.
