About the event
Award-winning composer and electronic artist Hannah Peel collaborates with virtuosic percussionist Beibei Wang to create an immersive cycle of sound, in tune with the rhythms of nature and human life.
Unfolding a vivid sound-world where electronics meet traditional Chinese instrumentation via bubbling water percussion, temple bells, prepared piano and bending synths. These playful rhythms clip-clop, wobble and surge, in turn both meditative and danceable.
Their collaborative album The Endless Dance journeys through the 24 solar terms of the Chinese calendar — grounded in ancient ideas yet alive with the joy and freedom of play.
