Evolving Threads: Food, Flowers and Conversations — ESEA Heritage Month 2026

Celebrate ESEA Heritage Month 2026 with EasyStepUK at Evolving Threads: Food, Flowers and Conversations — a welcoming community afternoon supported by Lewisham Council.

Festival entry and the drop-in creative activities are free. Registration helps the organisers plan materials and staffing, but it does not reserve a place at an individual activity — activities operate on a first-come, first-served basis and availability may vary during the afternoon.

Free activities:

• Dragon dance experience

• Blank fan painting

• Dried-flower transparent bookmark making

• Chinese calligraphy

• Chenille stem flower making

• Chinese paper cutting

• Cultural storytelling and community conversations

• Family-friendly cultural activities

No previous experience is needed. Children should be supervised by a responsible adult.

Everyone is welcome, including families, local residents, older adults, students, visitors to London and anyone interested in East and Southeast Asian cultures.

Accessibility: the venue is on the second floor and has no lift or step-free access. Seating is available. Please contact the organisers before registering if you have accessibility requirements.
