About the event

Ramble through Rye Meads

Join us to celebrate spring and warmer times on this 6-mile walk through Lee Valley, Hertfordshire.

Officially kicking off our 2026 series of walks, we’ll spend some time exploring the wetlands of Rye Meads Nature Reserve before making our way south along the River Lea to Broxbourne.

Rye Meads is a Site of Special Scientific Interest situated along the River Lee, renowned for its reedbeds, kingfishers, and birdwatching hides. If we’re lucky, we may be able to catch some of the wildlife that are easing their way into spring.

Looking forward to seeing regular and new walkers!
