ESEA Cooks x Wei Guo - Noodle Celebration!

We are thrilled to welcome special guest Wei Guo (@red.house.spice), legend of Chinese home cooking, to lead us in crafting a delicious meal centred around hand-pulled noodles. Celebrating ESEA Cooks’ humble 2nd birthday -- and inspired by Wei's Gansu roots and home recipes -- our meal is themed around family, celebration, and longevity. We will be serving Northwestern Chinese and Uyghur dishes alongside the noodles, with the full menu now announced here:

STARTER:

✳️ Goosh nan (Uyghur meat pie)

✳️ Vegetarian alternative made with Quorn

MAIN:

✳️ Hand-pulled noodles with big plate chicken

✳️ Vegan alternative made with tofu

SIDES:

✳️ Liang fen (mung bean jelly)

✳️ Mala potatoes

✳️ Tiger salad

DESSERT:

✳️ Sticky pumpkin cakes with black sesame filling

  As usual we will be serving our meals family-style, with plant-based options available. This time, Wei will be demonstrating how to hand-pull noodles and all diners will have the opportunity to try!

Prices:

• Diner - £30pp (£20 concession for students, unemployed, pensioners, elderly, and CCCC members)

• Cooking Volunteer - £15pp (price includes joining for the meal of course!)

• Set Up / Cleaning Volunteer - £10pp (again - price includes joining for the meal!)

Proceeds from the supper club will support Camden Chinese Community Centre (CCCC), the community centre which we are lucky to have called home the past 2 years. Hope to see you there!
