About the event

An Evening of Sound, Story, Food & Culture

Immerse yourself in Echoes of Korea, a unique sensory evening hosted by Bini Sudo, cookbook author and founder of Kimchi Club W5, and Joo Westwood, sound therapist and founder of Sound of Joo.

Created by two Korean women passionate about sharing the stories of Korea through food and sound, this intimate experience brings together nourishing Korean cuisine, a mindful tea ritual and a restorative, Korean-inspired sound bath to help you slow down, unwind and reconnect with yourself.

We begin with a warm introduction to Korean culture, setting the scene for an evening of discovery, connection and relaxation.

We will then enjoy a carefully curated Korean platter inspired by the Korean philosophy of balance and harmony through colour. Prepared from scratch by Bini using quality ingredients, the meal features a main dish accompanied by seven delicious Korean vegan side dishes, offering a wonderful opportunity to discover authentic Korean home cooking which you cannot get from restaurants.

After the meal, we invite you to slow down and savour a mindful tea experience, preparing you for the sound bath.

For the second half of the evening, you will settle into your comfortable bed, wrap yourself in a cosy blanket and let the sounds of singing bowls, a gong and Korean-inspired chanting guide you into deep relaxation. Joo is a highly experienced and qualified health coach and a sound therapist, only one of a few in the UK who are trained to perform The Peter Hess Method. She practices science-led therapies and her immersive sound bath is designed to help you release tension, quiet the mind and restore a sense of balance.

We will close the evening by offering you a handmade gift with a piece of Korea to take home.

Don't miss this one of a kind experience that brings together food, culture and sound in one intimate setting.
