C(P)LAY presents PRICE OF SILENCE
Dance collective C(P)LAY premieres its first full-length duet in East London, choreographed and performed by Ka Ki Christina Lai and Ying Yen (Yvonne) Wang. Built on contact, repetition and shifting lead-and-follow, it unpacks the sayings we inherit from our elders, like "silence is golden". Stay after for a post-show talk; £8, booking required.

Some words stay with us longer than we realise.
“Silence is golden.”
“Listen to your elders.”
“You’ll understand when you’re older.”
Growing up, we hear these words, learn these habits, and carry little pieces of them into our everyday lives.
Through physical contact, repetition and the shifting dynamics of leading and following, PRICE OF SILENCE explores how relationships take shape, how we influence one another, and how certain patterns become part of us.
We’re so happy to finally share that our full-length work is premiering in London this November. After the performance, we’ll also have a post-show discussion and audience feedback session. We look forward to sharing our thoughts, hearing your reflections, and seeing how the conversations around this work might continue beyond the performance. 🤍

有些話，留在我們心裡的時間，比想像中更長。
「沈默是金。」 「要聽長輩的話。」 「等你長大就會明白。」
成長的過程中，我們聽過這些話，學會這些習慣，也在日常生活中，不知不覺地帶著它們留下的痕跡繼續前行。
透過身體接觸、重複，以及引領與跟隨之間不斷變化的關係，《PRICE OF SILENCE》探索關係如何逐漸形成、我們如何影響彼此，以及某些行為模式如何慢慢成為我們的一部分。
我們很高興終於能與大家分享這部作品的完整版，並將於今年十一月在倫敦首演。演出結束後，亦設有演後交流與觀眾回饋環節，期待與大家分享彼此的感受與想法，讓作品在演出之後，繼續延伸出不同的對話。🤍
