🏠What does it mean to carry cities with you?

For Cecilia Chuan Jiang, the answer lies in the quiet details that refuse to disappear: the colour of a curtain, the sound of water, a familiar supermarket, the shadow of a summer tree. These fragments, gathered across years of moving between places, have become the language of her practice.

Working across painting, moving image, and digital installations, Cecilia weaves together memories of migration, childhood, and belonging. Where Light is Stored is her debut solo exhibition, bringing together works that feel both deeply personal and quietly universal. Each piece is drawn from lived experience, yet leaves space for others to find their own memories within it.

As you move through the exhibition, you will encounter paintings, animations, digital artworks, archives, and interactive installations that invite you to slow down, look closely, and remember.

Perhaps, somewhere along the way, you will recognise a place you thought you had left behind.
