Threads of Resistance: A Gathering for ESEA Activism and Solidarity

ESEA Sisters invites you to the ESEA Community Organising Fair, a gathering space for politically engaged East and Southeast Asian community organisations, grassroots collectives, migrant rights activists, and all those committed to collective action and solidarity.

This event is supported by besea.n's Peiwen Legacy Fund and honours ESEA Heritage Month 2026, which invites us to reflect on the theme "Evolving Threads" – recognising how our stories, actions, and solidarities are continuously woven together across time, place, and community.

Against the backdrop of an increasingly hostile environment for migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, alongside rising imperial aggression globally, many of us are organising across different fronts: migrant rights campaigns, diasporic homemaking, anti-imperialist solidarity, climate justice, and community service provision. More than ever, we feel the need to move beyond representation politics, and build genuine connection, political education, and solidarity across different struggles.

What's On

There will be stalls from organisations including Anakbayan, Migrante, VaChina, Hackney Anti-Raids, Migrants Organise and their 'Solidarity Knows No Borders' campaign, as well as workshops and activities such as:

Resisting immigration raids

Art-making as resistance

Community power mapping

We welcome ESEA community organisations, grassroots collectives, and groups working on migrant justice, climate justice, and beyond.

At the Fair, you can:

Introduce your group and activities

Share your campaigns, resources, and upcoming actions

Sell zines and materials to fundraise for your work

Venue & Accessibility
