About the event

Join Tangram + Camden Chinese Community Centre (CCCC) to ring in the holiday season in style!

Tangram is presenting a music and comedy extravaganza as a joint community fundraiser with CCCC. We are proud to present a dynamic programme of traditional and contemporary Chinese music by our world-class artists -- with no prior knowledge of Chinese music necessary, as lively introductions and hosting by comedian Sam See will guarantee a good time for all!

You are warmly invited for:

  • live music by Tangram artists, featuring erhu player Peng Cheng, pipa player Chen Xinyu (Emily) and percussionist Beibei Wang

  • hosting and live comedy by friend of Tangram, comedian Sam See

  • specially prepared food by CCCC's chefs (included with your ticket!)

  • a homemade bake sale

  • DIY bead-making with Tangram designers PK and Chang Meng, and

  • Tangram's merch launch (just in time for Christmas!)

All proceeds benefit Tangram and Camden Chinese Community Centre to support ESEA-led creative and community work.

This evening will be a relaxed environment to enjoy each other's company, and all ages are welcome. It serves as a preview for Tangram's upcoming production REMIX (LSO St Luke's, 3-4 February 2026), and we will sharing more about our new productions premiering in 2026. We look forward to welcoming you!

TangramTangram is an artist collective specialising in multidisciplinary and cross-cultural productions. They are Associate Artists with the London Symphony Orchestra at LSO St Luke’s, where they have been praised for their “highly imaginative presentations” (I CARE IF YOU LISTEN), “deep-rooted originality” (Morning Star), and “intoxicating overall mood of poetry, restraint and elegance” (The Stage). Tangram projects have ranged from collaborations with Chinese sword dance and Chinese opera masters, programmes of music made for stones, ice blocks and plastic bags, and performances with live action painting and audience participation. Through their projects, they actively invite curiosity and dialogue across cultures, disciplines and communities.

Camden Chinese Community CentreCamden Chinese Community Centre was established in 1981. They are a thriving Camden-based organisation that provides services of the highest quality primarily for members of the Chinese community irrespective of age or gender, but not exclusively to those of Chinese origin. They provide socially inclusive services that improve the conditions of life for inhabitants of Camden and people of surrounding boroughs who need support owing to age, disability, poverty, social and financial circumstances, and educate through the study of Chinese arts, culture and history. They aim to provide such services through a mixture of centre-based social welfare, recreational and leisure activities, outreach work, and collaborative work with our partners and the wider community. They currently have over 1100 members.
